Many private airplane owners fly solo, and would welcome a Right-Seat Occupant to share the journey with. A Right Seat Occupant might accompany a Pilot to an organized fly-in or aviation event, conducting a fuel run, traveling to a specific destination or out for a leisurely sight-seeing venture.
Who can be a Right Seat Occupant?
Right Seat Occupants are typically other pilots, aviation
enthusiasts or retired pilots, but can be anyone seeking the opportunity to increase their log-book hours or just come along for the flight!

Does this Service Cost Anything?
Right Seat Match-Up is a membership only service. The cost is less than the typical fuel costs to go to a fly-in - therefore the cost of membership can pay for itself by sharing just one flight with a Right Seat! The cost is $24.95 per year; HOWEVER, just until

Canadian Aviation Regulations do not allow non-commercial pilots to charge for any flight services.
Pilots are entitled to share the cost of flights with their occupants, so long as the purpose is not commercial in nature (eg. charging to fly you to a destination, taking pictures to sell, etc.). Pilots can recover a shared portion of flight costs, but also can choose not to do so.
Recovering the costs of a flight is within the Pilot's discretion and need be communicated and agreed upon between the parties prior to flight.
